Each Visit Includes

Visual Inspection of Generator’s Engine Systems:

  • Cooling System
  • Lubrication System
  • Fuel Delivery System
  • Exhaust System
  • Air Intake System
  • Belt and Pulley Systems
  • Electrical (DC) System
    • Control and Sensor Wiring
    • Battery Cabling and Connections, Battery Electrolyte Level Replenishment (if necessary), and Battery Load Testing
    • Ignition System Wiring and Components*

Visual Inspection of the AC Alternator and Generator Controller Components:

  • Air Intake and Exhaust

  • Carbon Brush and Slip Ring Condition (if applicable and readily accessible)

  • Electrical Connections

  • Output Circuit Breaker/s *

  • Generator Control Board, Connectors, and Wiring

  • Gauges, Indicator Lamps, and/or Digital Display

  • Switches, Control Relays, Solenoids, and Contactors

Visual Inspection of Automatic Transfer Switch Components:

  • Electrical Connections and Wiring

  • Electromechanical Components (Actuators, Contactors, Limit Switches, Relays etc.)

  • Circuit Boards

  • Power Supplies

  • Indicator Lights and/or Display*

  • Real-time and Exercise-Time Adjustment*

Analysis of Generator-Set and ATS Operation:

  • Manual and Remote Start Sequence

  • Speed Governing and Throttle Response

  • DC Alternator Charge Rate

  • Engine Oil Pressure and Temperature Reading*

  • Engine Exhaust Temperature and Pressure Reading*

  • Exhaust Air Quality Reading*

  • Engine Cooling

    • Engine Coolant Flow

    • Coolant Temperature Reading*

    • Louvers and Forced Air System Operation

  • Generator Voltage and Frequency Output Reading

  • Load-Current*

  • Generator Output Breaker and ATS Lug Temperature Reading*

One of the Yearly Visits Includes:

In Addition to All Applicable Items Above:

  • Engine Oil and Filter Change

  • Oil Sampling and Analysis (commercial generators only unless otherwise requested)

  • Battery Terminal and Terminal Connector Service

  • Fuel Filter Change*

  • Water-in-Fuel-Tank Analysis (diesel base-tank only)

  • Fuel Strainer Inspection and Cleaning*
